NATIONAL BREAST CANCER COALITION FUND
CELEBRATING 15 YEARS
Lobby Day: Truth to Power
APRIL 28 to MAY 1, 2007

The Connecticut Breast Cancer Coalition was present at the 15th Annual Advocacy Training Conference in Washington, D.C. April 28 to May 1, 2007. Many advocates mustered enough energy to tackle Capitol Hill on Tuesday, holding more than 400 meetings with members of Congress and their staff. The perseverance paid off with the addition of 49 new House members and 10 new Senators committed to cosponsoring one of NBCC’s top legislative priorities, the Breast Cancer and Environmental Research Act. The Connecticut delegation met with Congressman John Larson (D-1st), Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-3rd), Congressman Christopher Shays (R-4th), Congressman Joseph Courtney (D-2nd) and Congressman Chris Murphy (D-5th).
